A background in ancient
history and the classics inspires Randi Mates' Brooklyn-based jewellery label
AESA. Launched after the completion of her studies at New York's Jewelry Arts
Institute, the line focusses on the use of traditional Greek and Roman
metallurgy in the creation of stand-alone, iconic jewellery pieces, from gold
choker cuffs to delicate stone-encrusted bracelets. Inspired by everything from
ancient mythology to modern-day travel, AESA's evocative, majestic pieces are
the perfect counterpoint to modern minimalism.
