Dress Up is subtle, private and considered
in its every detail. Conceived in 2006, by designer Stephanie Downey after
completing a Bachelor of Arts Fashion at RMIT, the young designer began
creating collections for her own label. Dress Up is inspired by inherent human
expression, both powerful and vulnerable. Each collection interprets a story, rendering
the memory and imagery of people and places, countless images learned and
copied. With
accolades from Vogue (UK and Australia), Dossier (USA), Russh, InStyle, Harpers
Bazaar and a recent
nomination in the prestigious LMFF Designer Award 2011 to boot.
